Location Thirroul
Category Commercial Fit Out

Working alongside a creative chef and a Sydney based artist, you know it’s going to be an exciting project. Nigel and Kate captured the bustling environment of a cafe and combined it with the rich colour scheme of a sea merchant which nestles in perfectly with the coastal village aesthetic of Thirroul.

This commercial fit out required us to make an inviting hub to passing street trade. With all heads together this was achieved and created a place that locals love to gather.

In conjunction with Justin Noacco (landscape architect) a division between the street and internal area was created by a green wall. With Justin’s knowledge of hearty plants we innovated this wall out of sculptured mesh which in time was absorbed by star jasmine and its beautiful scent.

Jason worked closely with us to transform our cafe. He provided unique solutions such as beautiful fencing (a “green wall”) and louvred windows. His team worked seamlessly, and the cafe shows the hallmarks of Jason’s signature aesthetic - from a sleek concrete bench to handcrafted wood shelves. His team are very professional, and the finished result was that all facets from carpentry to tiling were to an exceptional standard.

An inviting beatnik Cafe, drawing people from the street.
